Managed IT, Network & Security Specialists
TechWise is a Connecticut-based IT solutions provider. We design and build complete networks, secure them to a high standard, install the cameras and access control that protect the building, and keep it all running. A good deal of our work is in public safety, including CAD and RMS custom report writing for police departments, alongside managed IT and custom applications for small and mid-sized businesses across Connecticut and Rhode Island.
What we do
Bring us in for one project or hand us the whole stack. Either way you get senior-level work and a single point of accountability.
Complete wired and wireless networks. Structured cabling, business-grade switching and routing, and Wi-Fi engineered for coverage, capacity, and growth. New offices, warehouses, and full rip-and-replace projects.
Segmented, monitored, and hardened infrastructure. Next-generation firewalls, secure VPN remote access, VLAN isolation, and zero-trust principles applied so a problem in one area does not become a problem everywhere.
IP camera systems, network video recording, and door access control. Professionally installed, remotely viewable from your phone, and integrated cleanly with the network we build.
CAD and RMS custom report writing, custom queries, and data work for police departments. Backed by the secure, CJIS-minded networks and infrastructure that public safety agencies are held to.
Line-of-business applications, custom reporting, dashboards, and workflow automation built for small businesses and agencies. Software shaped around how your organization actually works, not the other way around.
Vendor-neutral advice on strategy, budgeting, and roadmap. Network and security assessments, a second opinion on a vendor quote, project planning, or an outside IT decision-maker to sit in on the calls that matter.
Proactive monitoring, patch management, helpdesk support, and backup and disaster recovery. We keep systems current and problems small, so your team stays working instead of waiting.
Fast, secure hosting with ongoing maintenance, software and security updates, SSL certificates, and domain and DNS management. Your web presence, fully handled.
Email, identity, and file collaboration set up and secured. Migrations, user and license management, and multi-factor authentication so remote work does not mean exposed data.
Also available: structured cabling and low-voltage, firewall and VPN management, hardware procurement, and one-time projects or ongoing advisory work, whichever fits.
Why TechWise
Every network we design is meant to be defended, not just connected. Segmentation, monitoring, and least-privilege access are part of the build, not an upsell later.
We understand the requirements police and municipal agencies work under, from CJIS expectations to the reporting that command staff and the state actually ask for.
You work directly with an experienced engineer who sees the project through, not a rotating tier-one queue that restarts every call.
The same standards used in larger IT departments, scaled and priced for organizations that do not have one of their own.
Network, security, cameras, cloud, software, and web under a single point of contact. Fewer vendors pointing fingers, one number that owns the outcome.
Recommendations you can act on, with the tradeoffs and costs explained up front and no jargon for its own sake.

Who you’re working with
Jonathan has worked in technology for nearly two decades, on mission-critical infrastructure where downtime is not an option and with small businesses that have specialized needs. That work has included administering the enterprise network for a large statewide public-safety agency, keeping its critical systems online around the clock.
Today he is a senior network engineer by trade, and TechWise is how he brings that same enterprise and public-safety grade of work to small and mid-sized organizations across Connecticut and Rhode Island. When you contact TechWise, you are talking to the person who does the work.
